Dr. Roshan Lall Gupta International Center of Excellence in Advanced Translational Research brings together multidisciplinary expertise in maternal, neonatal and child health; bioinformatics; microbial genomics; proteomics; metabolomics; applied data science; clinical trials; and laboratory-based research. Its structure integrates research centers, specialist divisions, and core laboratory facilities to support advanced translational and collaborative research.

03 / Specialized Laboratories

The Center's laboratory capabilities support molecular, biochemical, immunological, and micronutrient-focused research:

• Molecular Genetics Laboratory: DNA and RNA extraction and purification, quality assessment and quantitation, and gene sequencing.
• Clinical Chemistry and Immunology Laboratory: Laboratory support for clinical chemistry and immunology-related research activities.
• Micronutrient Analytics Laboratory: Atomic absorption, Flow Injection Analysis System (FIAS), and multiplex assays.

04 / Center Facilities

Four core facilities provide the scientific and operational infrastructure required across the Center's research programs:

• Bioinformatics and Applied Data Science: Computational infrastructure and analytical support for bioinformatics, advanced data analysis, and data-driven research. The advanced computational infrastructure supports the secure processing and analysis of high-throughput sequencing, multi-omics, and large-scale health data. By integrating genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics with artificial intelligence, machine learning, and statistical modelling, we generate actionable insights into disease mechanisms, biomarkers, therapeutic targets, prediction, clinical decision-making, and improved health outcomes.
• Applied Clinical Laboratory: Clinical laboratory support for translational and applied research activities.
• Molecular Genetics Facility: Facilities for nucleic-acid processing, molecular quality assessment, and sequencing-related workflows. Equipped with Oxford Nanopore platform, and semiautomated extraction systems like Qiagen QIAcube, Thermo E-Gel doc system.
• Micronutrient and Small Sample Repository: Infrastructure supporting micronutrient analysis and the organized storage of research specimens. Equipped with Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (AAS 400) with FIAS and Multiplex Quansys Biosciences imager with other accessories.
